Food

The Porterhouse, Covent Garden
Irish music on Sunday afternoons from 4 -6:30pm. Some very nice beer too, but not cheap. Maiden Lane WC2, just South of the market.

The Cricketers, Greenwich
English music, not Irish, but a very good session on  Tuesday night. Organised by the Greenwich Traditional Musicians' Co-operative. Just off the market square.

The Rising Sun, Harlesden Rd Willesden
Recently revived, there is an Irish session on Friday nights with a lot of young talent.

The White Horse, Bethnal Green
A lively session also on Wednesday evenings, starting quite late - about 9:30pm, and then gets going slowly but surely.
On the corner of Cambridge Heath Rd and Bishops Way, opposite the station. (Previously Tuesdays)

The Swan in Stockwell
For many years the Swan has offered a wide range of music every night of the week. They no longer offer the same range of traditional music. Directly opposite Stockwell tube station for that easy journey home.
